Square Root Day! 4-4-16

Because I love math, and Harry loves math, we celebrated the square root day on April 4th, 2016. (4-4-16)

The square root of 16 is 4, and 4 × 4 =16. Therefore, April 4th, 2016 is a square root day. HA!!

I made Harry a cool shirt with fabric paint. I taught him square roots using a graph and cereal. :)

Preschool/Homeschool Graduation

On Friday April 1st, 2016, Harry successfully completed 3 years of preschool taught by me! I started teaching Harry at just 3 months old, and we finished up our homeschooling journey at about 3.5 years old!! Wow!! It was been extremely wonderful and amazing teaching Harry! This kid is so intelligent and performing at a kindergarten/first grade level now. WOW!!

To celebrate, we had a party, dressed up, and I downloaded a preschool diploma on Google and presented to Harry. It was awesome!!

Now, we are getting ready to embark on a new journey. Harry will be going to preschool soon, and I will be teaching soon too!! Yeah!!

I will still be teaching Harry and doing fun activities too because we love it so much!

Baking soda and vinegar fun!

Which cereal is magnetic??

**This is such a cool experiment! We had to find out which cereal is the most magnetic.**

Here's the amount of iron in each cereal:

**First we crushed up 1 cup of each cereal and soaked it in water to extract the iron.

**Then, we skimmed the surface of each bowl with magnets time figure out which cereal is the most magnetic. Oatmeal Squares won because the have the most iron!

Are vitamins magnetic??

Are vitamins magnetic?? We did a simple experiment to find out! Harry loves this experiment!!

Since vitamins have iron in them, and iron is magnetic, then surely vitamins must be magnetic! But how can you find out?

First, you crush up a few vitamins into a bowl. We crushed up 4 vitamins.

Then, you add water, which extracts the iron from them.

Skim the top of the bowl with your magnets, and the irons attracts to the magnets and sticks!! COOL!!! :)
