Paper Plate Banjo
For Wild West Week in my preschool class, we made paper plate banjos. We decorated them first, then glued cardboard pieces for the bank of neck, and glued yarn for the strings.
Fourth of July Crafts and Activities
I did tons of patriotic crafts and activities for the Fourth of July with Harry! He loves flags, so it was fun! We do similar things like this every year too. I also found some worksheets on Google, and we made patriotic cookies!
Nervous System
Teaching Harry all about the human body is so much fun! Here we learned about the nervous system.
Here's what we did:
1. We did a reaction time test, see how long it takes you to catch the paper.
2. A brain puzzle
3. Edible spinal cord
4. Trying to trick your brain, read the color of the word, not the word...
5. Worksheets found on Google.
Digestive System
The digestive system was fun!! We measured the length of each thing in the digestive system. Harry was amazed that the small intestines are 23 feet long!! Wow!! We also did several worksheets I found on Google.
Integumentary System
I taught Harry all about the human body this summer. We had so much fun with it. Here we learned about the skin.
We made a model of the skin using paper towel, a paper towel roll, and pipe cleaners. Each part represents a different layer or part of the skin.
Circulatory and Respiratory System
Harry and I had SO MUCH FUN with the circulatory and respiratory systems!! We did several different activities to simulate each system. He learned so much! We also did several worksheets I found on Google.
Check out our activities!!
